Movie Review: Level Up for Disney's Classics- Zootopia

**Spoiler Alert!**
First off, I'm glad that Disney is learning from their mistakes. Second, I'm glad that it's just March and we probably have the best animated movie for the year. Yeah! Zootopia is that good! Also labelled as the most detailed movie of Disney ever, Zootopia is got lot of things perfect. Dear Frozen fanboys (or should i call fangirls? Is that sexist?), it is better than Frozen (There! I said it!).

Zootopia tells a story of Judy Hopps, a bunny rabbit who aspires to be a real cop since her childhood. Finally, she achieves what she had always wanted and gets posted in Zootopia, a city where all animals live together in peace and harmony. But then, she has to team up with Nick Wilde, a fugitive con artist fox to solve a conspiracy. She only has 48 hours. The best buddy cop movie in a long time, Disney gets it right this time (On your face, Cars 2!). With amazing visuals, fantastic character development, spirited music and awesome script, Zootopia stands out in all fields.

Multiple references to Frozen, Breaking Bad and probably the best impersonation of Don Vito Corleone from The Godfather, Zootopia makes you an offer you can't refuse to watch it. With 64k hairs used on Judy Hopps character alone to make it look perfect, the movie comes out stunning. The best chase/action sequence in animated movies after Madagascar 3: Europe's Most wanted keeps your adrenaline pumping. Oh! and the sloths! They... make... the best... episode... of.... the whole... movie! We might also have best original song as 'Try Everything' from Shakira! With enough entertainment and talent, Zootopia gets its message delivered loud and clear. Yes, it's got a message. Real strong one!

What does Zootopia do best?
          Doesn't restrict it's audience. Though the movie is marketed a kid's movie, it's got certain action and wildness with chases and explosions. Also, few not so kids jokes are cleverly put in.

Anticipated Oscar Nominations:
  • Best Animated Feature Film
  • Best Original Song
Verdict: Do not miss this gem of a film!

Appreciation Post- Why Arjun Reddy is a Modern Classic!

In the wake of Kabir Singh (Hindi) and Adithya Varma (Tamil), the most controversial of it's time, the original, Arjun Reddy (Telugu) is once again in the news. It's been over two years since Arjun Reddy hit the theatres and is still one of the most talked about in the film fraternity. While some are of the opinion that it's just another movie with glorification of drugs and alcohol and mistaking obsession with love, others are of the opinion that Arjun Reddy is one of those rare movies that reinvent filmmaking. Movie Review: Better Stay at Home and Stare into Nothingness!- Ae Dil Hai Mushkil

***Spoiler Alert!*** Thanks to my sisters, I had to watch this movie which I wouldn't have otherwise! The best thing about this movie? The whole controversy stirred couple of weeks before it's release. Yup, that was much more entertaining! Though I didn't have much hopes from Karan Johar, I've always been an admirer of Ranbir Kapoor's acting, especially when he cries and looking at sensible subjects he usually chooses  (barring a few like Besharam, Roy e.t.c.) , I was tricked into believing there'll be something new in the movie. Oh boy, was I wrong! The movie starts off with Ayan (Ranbir Kapoor) being interviewed after he has become a successful singer.
