Movie Review: The Comic Book adaptation we all Deserve!- Batman Vs Superman: Dawn of Justice
**Spoiler Alert!**
Boy! Oh Boy!! The hype is real and the movie is worth it! The tone looks set for DC movies. BvS:DoJ is that movie which brings Comic book experience to live action world. It sure takes a lot of time doing so but in the end, it's totally worth it. Being an avid Batman fan, the live action Batfleck in action blew my mind away! And Wonder Woman played by Gal Gadot, haters should be hiding somewhere now! But hey, is Lex Luthor annoying? Yeah he is!Batman Vs Superman starts off with a brief backstory to Batman and cuts to the day of Superman killing General Zod and the majestic action sequence. Bruce Wayne is in Metropolis that day and he sees and experiences chaos with his own eyes. Being the paranoid Bruce is, he decides that that amount of power is to be stopped. On the other hand, Lex Luthor wants to kill Superman for just being his arch-nemesis. Superman starts to know about Batman and his unorthodox ways of Justice and he wants to stop Batman. Wonder Woman is caught in the whole whirlwind with Lex having her true identity somewhere in his archive. With growing paranoia and some unforeseen circumstances, Batman and Superman take on each other until they have each others' trust. How they come to terms and Dawn of Justice League forms the rest of the movie.
With mesmerizing visuals, cinematography and music by Hans Zimmer, the movie excels in the technical terms. Ben affleck and Gal Gadot prove again that they aren't just pretty faces! (You should've heard the applause and roar for these two characters in the cinema!). Jeremy Irons brings in some humor to an otherwise humorless movie (and no, that's not a bad thing). My only complain here will be Jesse Eisenberg's Lex Luthor. He looks and plays more like he's just out of The Social Network and is overexcited in almost all frames (Why, Zack Why?!). With very brief introduction to other members of JL, the movie gets audience excited. That could've handled better, probably! With all the complaint about destruction of city in Man of Steel, the writers have put in some lines explaining there isn't life form that's been effected by all the action. Some cliched slo-mo sequences should've probably cut-off! The Batman action sequence is gonna pump up blood!

What does BvS do best?
Batman and Wonder Woman characters. Good amount of screen time is spent on developing both the characters as superman had a separate movie to do so. Superman too is handled better by the way!
Cinematography. Remember the pearl necklace of Martha Wayne getting cut when she gets shot sequence in 'The Dark Knight Returns' Comic by Frank Miller that has most important impact on Batman?, That is captured beautifully in the movie. With action sequences in racing speed, the whole tone of capturing each frame is done wonderfully for a bleak and dark take on Comics, DC Comics.
Deep Study:
The movie has dream-like sequences for Batman. But, the sequences aren't just dreams. They are the paths laid out for Justice League. One Sequence is where Darkseid has taken over the world and takes Superman under his command who is broke after Lois being killed by Darkseid. Here, we see evil Superman destroying Batman and his supporters. Immediately after the sequence, Flash is seen warning Batman of the same invasion and saying Lois is the key. He also notices the clueless look on Batman's face and says "Am I too early? I'm too early!". These scenes look a piece out of the place but are wonderfully executed to kick-start DC Universe.
Why are critics panning the movie?
Plausible reason would be because they've forgot enjoying dark comic movies?! Most of the complaints being 'humorless', it seems like they've got more used to fairy-tale kind of comic based movies Marvel offers and Disney comes up with! Asking a movie with Batman and Superman fighting against each other to be humored would be plain stupid. That's just not how DC works. Whatever happened to critics who appreciated dark comic based movies like Watchmen!
Verdict: A feast for the right audience.
